Code of Conduct
Swimmers will:
Ø Be on poolside ready to swim at the start of each session. Swimmers who arrive late may not be allowed to swim.
Ø Be expected to wear club hats at the Saturday sessions.
Ø Be expected to participate fully and concentrate on the activities in each session they attend. Swimmers who do not participate may be asked to leave the session and this will be recorded on the swimmers progress sheet held in the coaches file.
Ø Be expected to treat each other and the coaches with politeness and respect. Swimmers may be asked to leave the session if they forget to do this, a record will be kept in the coaches file.
Ø Be expected to conduct themselves as representatives of the club at competitions and compete with due respect and appreciation for other clubs and competitors.
Coaches Will:
Ø Be on poolside ready to teach at the beginning of each session.
Ø Involve all the swimmers in their group in all the activities
Ø Treat all swimmers with politeness and respect. Swimmers who feel that coaches have not done this should speak to the Club or Team Captain or another coach.
Ø Protect the confidentiality of swimmers at all times
Parents Will:
Ø Ensure that their children arrive in time to be ready on poolside at the beginning of each session.
Ø Ensure that their children have the correct PBSSC uniform for sessions and competitions
Ø Support the coaches’ decisions in regard to discipline issues for lack of participation, impoliteness or disrespect
Ø Collect their children from the pool foyer or reception within 20 minutes of the session finish time
Inform the club if their child is not able to make a training session
